Our Work Speaks Volumes

Over the years, we've been lucky enough to work on some pretty incredible projects - each one taught us something new. Here's a collection of spaces we're genuinely proud of, from cozy family homes to ambitious urban developments that're changing how people live in Vancouver.

Filter by what interests you - though honestly, they're all pretty different from each other

Westridge Passive House
Residential Sustainable

Westridge Passive House

Vancouver, BC - 2023

This one's special - our first certified passive house. The owners wanted something that'd barely touch their energy bills, and we managed to design a place that's warmer in winter and cooler in summer than most homes, using like 90% less energy. The neighbors kept asking questions during construction.

Granville Innovation Hub
Commercial Urban

Granville Innovation Hub

Downtown Vancouver - 2022

Mixed-use doesn't have to be boring, y'know? This seven-story building combines office space, retail, and some micro-apartments for startups. The ground floor opens right onto the street, making it feel like part of the neighborhood instead of just another glass box.

Kitsilano Family Residence
Residential

Kitsilano Family Residence

Kitsilano, Vancouver - 2023

Designed for a growing family who didn't wanna sacrifice style for function. We played around with split levels to create distinct zones without walls everywhere. The kids' playroom is kinda hidden under the main stairs - they love it.

Gastown Heritage Lofts
Heritage Sustainable

Gastown Heritage Lofts

Gastown, Vancouver - 2021

Bringing old buildings back to life is tricky but super rewarding. This 1912 warehouse was basically falling apart when we got to it. We kept all the original brick and timber, added modern insulation where you can't see it, and turned it into eight loft-style apartments that actually meet today's energy codes.

False Creek Waterfront Development
Urban Design Sustainable

False Creek Waterfront Development

False Creek, Vancouver - 2022

Urban planning at its best means thinking about people first, cars second. This waterfront project prioritizes pedestrians and cyclists, with residential towers set back from the water so everyone can enjoy the views. The public spaces actually get used, which doesn't always happen with these developments.

North Shore Eco-Retreat
Residential Sustainable

North Shore Eco-Retreat

North Vancouver - 2023

Built on a steep slope that most people would've avoided, this home practically disappears into the forest. Solar panels, rainwater collection, and a geothermal system mean it's almost off-grid. The clients are artists who wanted a studio space that'd inspire them - mission accomplished.

Yaletown Tech Campus
Commercial

Yaletown Tech Campus

Yaletown, Vancouver - 2022

Tech companies always say they want something different, then describe a generic open office. We pushed back on this one and created spaces that're actually flexible - quiet zones, collaboration areas, even some phone booths for when you need to escape. Natural light everywhere because fluorescent offices are the worst.

Main Street Townhouse Complex
Residential Urban

Main Street Townhouse Complex

Mount Pleasant, Vancouver - 2021

Density doesn't mean cramming people together like sardines. These twelve townhouses share a central courtyard that's become the heart of the community. Each unit has its own entrance and a bit of outdoor space - turns out people still value privacy even in urban settings.

Olympic Village Green Building
Commercial Sustainable

Olympic Village Green Building

Olympic Village, Vancouver - 2023

LEED Platinum certified and we're pretty stoked about it. The green roof isn't just for show - it manages stormwater, provides insulation, and gives office workers a place to actually enjoy their lunch. The building uses 60% less water than code requires, which adds up quick.

Shaughnessy Heritage Home
Heritage Residential

Shaughnessy Heritage Home

Shaughnessy, Vancouver - 2021

Working within heritage restrictions is like solving a puzzle. This 1920s mansion needed major updates but we couldn't touch the exterior or main architectural features. Ended up gutting the interior while keeping all the original moldings, fireplaces, and that gorgeous staircase. It's like stepping through time when you enter.

Robson Street Plaza Redesign
Urban Design Sustainable

Robson Street Plaza Redesign

Downtown Vancouver - 2022

Public spaces should invite people in, not just be leftover space between buildings. We redesigned this plaza with moveable seating, native plantings that don't need constant watering, and lighting that makes it feel safe at night. Now it's actually full of people instead of empty concrete.

Spanish Banks Beach House
Residential

Spanish Banks Beach House

Point Grey, Vancouver - 2023

Living by the beach means dealing with salt air and constant moisture. We designed this place to embrace its location rather than fight it - materials that age gracefully, huge windows that frame ocean views, and outdoor spaces you'll actually use year-round. The sunset views from the deck are ridiculous.

Each project tells a story - some straightforward, others full of surprises. If you're curious about any of these or thinking about your own project, let's chat. We're always up for coffee and talking about what makes spaces work.
